I’ve promised you all a post about converting the dining room of our 120 year old farmhouse into our primary bedroom but that’s going to be a post for another time since material delays are the absolute bane of my existence right now. In the meantime, you’re all getting a sneak peek because I just could not wait to share our new Boutique Rugs area rug with you all!
I’ve been a big, big fan of Boutique Rugs for a long time because I feel like their selection and price points can’t be matched so when they offered to send me a rug from their new collection and offer you all a discount code I couldn’t say no!
They sent me the Snead Rug in an 8×10 and I could not believe how quickly it arrived (less than 2 full days!). I’ve gotten rugs before from other sites that arrived in boxes and were all folded up but this one was rolled with some cute little booties on each end and wrapped securely to keep it dry and safe which I much prefer to those boxes.
The rug itself is so beautiful and unbelievably soft. When I tell you the morning after we unrolled it I walked into our bedroom to discover four of the kids and two of the cats all under our bed laying on the rug I’m not exaggerating even a little bit. It’s literally that soft! It is a bit more pink that I had in mind when I picked it out — which isn’t a site issue but rather an issue with my laptop since the image on my phone, tablet and desktop computer were all true to color — so I may swap it and our curtains out for the set in our oldest daughter’s room at the end of the day but I’m waiting until the fireplace is complete before I make any final decisions!
The Snead is a true blush and ivory, and while it’s super plush it still manages to look a bit overdyed lending it super well to a variety of design styles which is something I’m always a fan of!
I didn’t have many complaints about the rug, there was a single spot on the border that had a thread that came loose and needed to be trimmed but I suspect that’s more of a toddler and kitten having a little too much fun issue than a true quality issue unless you also have a toddler and kitten in your house.
